I purchased this item at Sears, oddly enough because I had this idea I was going to carve the Thanksgiving turkey with it. However, simply carving the turkey would have proven to be impossible. I would have had shredded turkey, and also would have run the risk of bone shards. Okay, now for my real review.
This Sawzall, also called a reciprocating saw, is EXTREMELY powerful, and extremely agressive. My dad complained when I brought it home because there was already an electric chain saw in the garage. And yet, anytime we have had to cut down a dead tree, or trim a few branches, we have ALWAYS used my Sawzall. Cutting all the dead branches, and then the trunk probably would have taken better than an hour, not including hauling everything away; if we had done it by hand. With this tool, it took one hour from the time I plugged it in to the time we had everything loaded up to be hauled. Total project time was about one hour and forty-five minutes. You get what you pay for with power tools, and in that case, I pick out tools that I believe will last a long time. Milwaukee does not make anything "Consumer Grade." So, I expect that this Sawzall would last a long, long time even under industrial use. So, using it at home, I figure I'll probably be sixty before it wears out. Milwaukee did an OUTSTANDING job engineering and manfacturing this tool. EXCELLENT BUY!
