Customer Review: Bad A$$!

This is my first foray into Milwaukee tools and REAL hammer drills. I've only ever worked with Mastercraft (Canadian store brand) $70 hammer drills.
I burnt out the Mastercraft while trying to drill a 3" hole (with a Bosch hole saw bit) into 2.5" LVL. I had been eying a hammer drill for sometime and decided that the time was right to put in my order.
I did some research and the 5380 consistently made the cut as one of the top drills out there.
One phrase I love to use when describing a quality power tool... 'LIKE BUTTER'
This guy ate through the LVL. I had to bore a couple of 1/2" holes and I almost had to hold the thing back. It chewed through 5 laminated 2.5" LVLs like it was floating in air.
The only concern I have it with the speed selector. It doesn't seem to switch fully when the drill stops in certain positions. It sometimes gets stuck halfway, I then quickly pull and release the trigger and I'm able to fully engage the speed selection. My buddy ordered one and his did the same thing. Again, this is my first foray into professional hammer drills, so I can't say whether or not this is the norm.
Regardless, once you have the speed properly engaged my only word of caution is to HOLD ON!
