I initially bought this kit to drill a hole in a kitchen sink where I wanted to add a fresh water faucet. The bit ripped right through the cast acrylic sink without a problem. I know that drilling through an acrylic sink is hardly a difficult task but since then I have drilled through many onther materials including sheetrock, wall studs, fiber pressboard and wood laminate. These bits seem to be very durable and keep their sharp edge very well. They are easy to switch out and are very solid while drilling. The true test will be drilling through metal.
The kit itself is very handy. The case keeps everything organized and is well constructed.
Overall I am very happy with this kit.
