Customer Review: Steal of a deal--and they work fine

I got these because there were more than 100 for under ten dollars. I like to shoot, but sometimes find myself without all the ear protection I need, so I thought that I could just sprinkle the little boxes of these earplugs throughout my belongings and have them whenever I needed them.
But I also go to school, and they would be really nice to use in the library (where people so often seem to not understand the rules of silence[!])
I've worn them several times around the house when the neighbors had ten thousand people in their yard operating power lawn tools at the same time, and it worked pretty well. Paired with over-ear protection, you'd be peachy.
I have NOT used them for shooting yet, because I haven't been without my preferred ear protection, but I think they would perform alright. One day they kept falling out, so I ignored the instructions on the box and put them in the way I do with the other kinds. It's all about pulling your ear in a way that opens up your ear canal, but everyone's ear canal is shaped differently, so while the way on the box works for most people, you might have to play with it for a little before you know the way for you. (That's why your doctor pulls your ear in all different directions when he's looking in there on a physical.)
If they're still as cheap as they were when I got them, go for it. I have some in my car, backpack, purse, desk and the big box is in the garage.
Also, they're soft. I didn't think they were going to be as soft as they are. They don't fatigue your ear quickly--at least not while I've been wearing them.
