This combination unit features the 4203 adjustable position, variable speed base and the 4262-1 3/4in. drill motor. The electromagnetic variable speed adjustable base features solid state electronic switching and an 9in. drill travel. Adjustable position on this base makes lining up the bit easier and faster. All you need is a bit and you are ready to drill into any ferrous material 1/2 in. and thicker. U.S.A. Although this tool is some what limited in use it performs excellent for the purpose it was designed for. I have used this tool to drill and tap many holes in machine bases and bolster plates that were too large or could not be moved to a drill press. With a good lay out job and heavy center punch you can accurately place the Mag Drill on center each time. The base of the tool is also a de-magnetizer for easy removal of chips and clean up.
