Description of Bare-Tool Milwaukee 6320-20 18-Volt Ni-Cad 6-1/2-Inch Cordless Metal Cutting Circular Saw (Tool Only, No Battery)Tool includes: 6 7/8" blade. However 6 1/2" blade also work fine with this circular saw. Metal Cutting Saw, 6320-20, cuts all types of metals such as uni-strut, galvanized pipe, metal studs and black pipe, as well as Hardi-Plank and Durock materials. The saw uses a standard 5/8 in. arbor and has a 2-1/8 in. maximum depth of cut. The blade spins at 3,200 RPM and has an electric brake for quick, repetitive cutting. The clear guard provides an excellent line of sight for cutting and the rugged construction provides long, trouble-free operation. Metal?s no challenge for this little Milwaukee brute, slicing quickly through everything we put it to: unhardened ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastics and cement board. Power is plentiful, with an 18-volt battery juicing the blade?s 3,200 rpm. We were surprised at how quickly the electric brake halts the blade, too: In our very unscientific test, it was about a second and a half, great for repetitive cuts and even more important for safety. The blade guard is clear, and you do get a great sightline because of it, but it is plastic, and we didn?t want to take our chances slamming it around the warehouse to see what kind of impact it would withstand. A little care is a small price for a much-improved view, we think. It?s lighter than we expected by the rugged look of it, so it handles beautifully, and the ergonomic D-handle grip feels great. If you?re in plumbing, construction, maintenance or even fire and rescue, you ought to have this saw.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste
Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bare-Tool Milwaukee 6320-20 18-Volt Ni-Cad 6-1/2-Inch Cordless Metal Cutting Circular Saw (Tool Only, No Battery)Customer Review: Perfect Milwaukee Quality-and some of the vendors are pretty great also Summary: 5 Stars
34 x 52 pole parn burned down last week. I purchased this saw to cut up the huge pile of sheet metal scrap from the roof and side walls. This tool won't cut anything because the vendor "DAMLOW PRICES" shipped it to me without a blade. How can you call something a "metal cutting circular saw" if you don't ship the "saw" part of the tool with the motor. They should advertize it as a High quality motor with a handle, because that is all they sold me. They didn't sell me a saw. The vendor "DAMLOW PRICES" decided to remove the blade before shipping the saw to me. I have purchased Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita and even the cheap Denali cordless circular saws from various venders as "bare tools" and they always come with the blade. They are shipped from the manufacturer that way. This vendor clearly shows the blade in the picture and clearly indicates that the battery doesn't come with it. The product description states
"Product Description
Tool includes: 6 7/8" blade".
Milwaukee makes great tools but this one is useless to me. Now I have to pay to return the saw and I still have several thousand square feet of burned and twisted steel barn siding and roofing to deal with......."DAMLOW PRICES" is the only vendor I have ever purchased from that removed the blade from a saw before shipping it as a bare tool. It is unlikely that I will ever buy anything from "DAMLOW PRICES" again.
I have returned this tool to "Damlow Prices at a cost of $16 using the U.S Postal service. They sent me a refund that was $17 less than what I origionally paid them, so it only cost me $33 and I recieved nothing of value for it. What a deal! I have posted a photo of the 10 other "bare tool" circular saws that I have purchased from various vendors. Every one of them came with a blade, what a concept!
I ordered a replacement from "Tool King". I assume all is well and will edit this if it is not. Milwaukee makes great tools.
My saw arrived today (June 1st) from "Tool King". It was more than I expected. It came with a red plastic "Milwaukee" tool case that is large enough for the tool, has storage space for a spare blades and has room for a battery charger and spare battery (battery and charger not included). It also came with the "Milwaukee" metal cutting blade (mounted in the blade storage area of the case, a pair of "Milwaukee" safety glasses, and the "Milwaukee" owners manual and product registration paper work sealed in plastic. This makes for a first class package. When I ordered a "Bare tool" I only expected to get the saw and the blade. The storage case and the safety glasses were a pleasant suprise. I will take some photo's of this saw actually cutting metal and post them in the near future. (I have 20 foot long metal roofing panels that I have to fit into a 18 foot long trailer). "Tool King" will be at the top of my list for future purchases. They sent me everything that "Milwaukee" sent to them.
If you buy this from "Damlow Prices" you will not be able to cut anything with it because they don't ship the blade with the saw and if you ask them to supply the blade they won't, and then they will tell you to send it back at your own expense. That is my experience, perhaps yours will be better. My experience is that I am out $33 and they get to sell this same saw to someone else and make even more money. Since it didn't come in a "Milwaukee" box makes it me wonder how many other people have bought this same saw and returned it in its plain brown box.
